The Salone del Mobile was like an enormous box of bonbons, with each offering more mouth-watering than the last. Danese had a sophisticated display of work by the likes of Naoto Fukasawa, Francisco Gomez Paz, Jonathan Olivares and Marti Guixe, while we had to poke among the classics at Vitra to discover new chairs by Jasper Morrison and Hella Jongerius. Cappellini had some treats by Massimiliano Adamo and Nendo, and M’ovo was a sleek egg-shaped table that folded up into a tidy piece to push out of the way in the most elegant manner. Jean Nouvel’s Skin armchair follows up the couch. Nanimarquina combined layers of felt coated with a thin layer of rubber to result in a series of touchy-feely pots.
